Keeping your mind active and busy is a fantastic way to keep you anxiety in check. Reading is my favorite way to unwind as well as giving my brain a little exercise. We tend to fall into the habit of only thinking on things that we deem important but nourishing your mind is probably the most important thing of all!
As much as I would like to pretend that taking care of your body doesn't determine your stress level, it does. Exercise, getting outside and treating your body with respect will greatly increase your happiness level.
Anything that you can create with you hand can be a form of stress relief. Crafting of any sort, coloring books, sewing. I dabble in lot's of different crafts both with and without my kids. My hope is to inspire you to get your hands and mind moving with the joy of creating.
